The new LG Windows Mobile Phone encompasses German fashion designer Jil Sander’s aesthetic of minimal cool, clean lines and simplicity. >
Also labelled as the Premium Windows 7.5 Mango or Jil Sander E906 handset, LG seem the obvious partners with their own attention to detail and similarly sleek design ethic.
Launched earlier this month in the United Kingdom, there are plans for it to launch later in the year in Germany, Austria, Italy and France.
The phone runs on the Windows 7.5 Mango platform for the OS, with a 1GHz processor, all showcased in a 3.8-inch/800×480 display, with a five-megapixel camera and LED flash as well as a 720p video capability. In addition, it has a premium wired headset with blue ear buds and a leather pouch.
With that in mind, the handset is very simple and basic in its design. In true Jil Sander style, there is very little detail to this phone beyond her signature blue stripe.
Upon purchase, the handset comes ready equipped with a Jil Sander app. The app showcases various designs from her collections, which allows you to browse and shop, as well as locate stores.
Keith Haring Foundation
LG is no stranger to merging the creative and digital worlds – they have previously worked with the Keith Haring Foundation to raise AIDS awareness for the younger generation.
The project saw two of the late pop-artist’s iconic images emblazoned on the back cover of the LG Optimus Black handset – the world’s slimmest and lightest phone.
However, this is not the first time that LG have partnered with the Keith Haring Foundation either, the first being 2008′s collaboration for the KF600 and KF700 with the goal of introducing art across the digital age.
